Not really surprising at all. Good to know though.

I have the iOS GM and this feature is really impressive. It gives you a center line to keep the phone level and tells you if you are spinning too quickly. Here's a panorama of my living room:

And this marks the first iOS upgrade that I'll get every single feature on my existing device on!

No digging in odd places needed.

Edit: actually, I'd rather have the ability to take photos while recording, but that's iPhone 5 only :(. Oh well I'll just do what I usually do and pause the video then take a screenshot lol.

Thats right. I will stay on my 4S. I love Apple for bringing iOS 6 on the 4S.

Well thats a first and also means the only thing my 4S isnt getting is an extra row of apps :D

It genuinely seems the iPhone 5 didn't get anything the iPhone 4S can't do in terms of software, which seems a first.

Update 1:58 PM: The released to developers today does indeed enable Panorama mode on the iPhone 4S.

According to Apple's , iPhone 4S users will not be left out of this feature addition, with the spec comparison listing "Panorama" as one of the features of the iSight camera on both the iPhone 4S and 5. The feature will not be available with the lower-quality rear camera found on the iPhone 4.

One of the highlighted features of the iPhone 5 during today's media event was a new for stitching together multiple photos to create a single large panoramic image up to 28 megapixels in size. As , the feature is also included on the new fifth-generation iPod touch.
